Rainforest poetry

This term Year 4's topic has been "The Rainforest". We have been reading and writing poems this term and have been learning about different types of poems. Some of them, such as haikus and cinquains, have some tricky rules to remember.

Here are some of our brilliant poems:
Tarantula
He is big and scary
His arms are very hairy
They are things that I hate
So they will never be my mate!
By Kelish

Jaguar cinquain
Jaguar
Strong, hungry
Catching, creeping, striking
The jaguar is really brave
Grrr!
         by Shay

           Gecko
           Gecko creeping on the ground
Gecko creeping, have you been found?
Gecko creeping near the lake
Gecko creeping by the snake.
By Shaniya
